laguna house makeover / modern glam boy's bedroom

bobette has been working on a few bedrooms in this amazing house in emerald bay of laguna beach. the house was designed in the 80's by a couple who loved boats and tried to make the house resemeble the inside of a ship. It has all wood ceilings and amazing original features like built in fish tanks and a kitchen that looks like a galley. when the current owners bought the house it came with lots of the original furniture, rugs and artwork. the house is seriously a goldmine of brass and acrylic which, luckily, is totally back in style.

we wanted to make this bedroom vibe with the rest of the house. the rug is new but in a vintage style. the brass bed compliments the other brass features of the house. the leather chair, glass end table, lamp, and dresser were all already in the room so we just needed to clean everything up and add some fresh touches. all of the bedding is from west elm and is so glamorous. the artwork above the bed is original to the house. i just want to live in this room i love it so much! especially since you can see the beach from the little balcony!
